KNICKERBOCKER PRINTED MATERIALS

Printed sales materials put Knickerbocker Bed Company products in the hands of the retailer and help tell the story of how proper mattress support is essential for providing long-lasting bedding comfort. With our intimate knowledge of the Knickerbocker product line, Brownlie Design provides effective imagery and text for advertising, signage, sales training videos, and assembly instructions. We combine CAD-rendered images with photography for eye-catching results. In-store retail signage is an important component of sales success. With Brownlie Design’s artistic skills and established print vendor relationships, we have the ability to produce effective in-store advertising.

KNICKERBOCKER POINT OF SALE

Point-of-sale displays are an effective method of attracting the eye of the consumer. Brownlie Design develops the concepts and produces point-of-sale displays and signage for placement on retail sales floors throughout the United States. From smaller tabletop product displays and tall banner stand posters to larger floor standing point-of-sale product cabinets, the customer sees and understands the benefits of purchasing a Knickerbocker bed support system for their home.

KNICKERBOCKER TRADESHOWS

The International Sleep Products Association (ISPA) trade show is exclusive to the bedding industry and Brownlie Design’s attention to detail allowed Knickerbocker to have a distinctive trade show presence. We handled the design, construction coordination, and shipping of a custom 50 ft. x 50 ft. exhibit. Knickerbocker also has permanent showroom space at the World Market Center in Las Vegas, a 500,000 sq. ft., multibuilding facility dedicated to the furniture industry. Brownlie Design is responsible for the design and installation of all graphics, products, and display fixtures for Knickerbocker’s 5,000 sq. ft. showroom.

ORVIS PACKAGING

Orvis, the premier name in fly-fishing equipment, asked Brownlie Design to develop a new look for their product packaging. It needed to be distinctive, cohesive, and innovative, yet rooted in their corporate DNA. By using a brook trout skin pattern as a background and overlaying established sub-brand wordmarks, we achieved authenticity without sacrificing brand recognition. A rounded semi-opaque rectangle was used to group size and style information while reducing visual clutter. These elements make for a striking presentation when displayed on a pegboard in a large grouping. Specific package types also presented opportunities for structural and mechanical detail innovations. The fly line plastic spool was replaced with one made of paper pulp, which is recyclable and biodegradable. The tippet spool was developed to gang together in multiples and spin independently but still orient correctly when hung on a pegboard.

CARRIER FAN SPEED INSTRUCTIONS

When setting up and servicing large-scale HVAC units, it is critical to set the right fan speed to ensure the correct cooling level for the size of the building. Brownlie Design provided Carrier with graphics to be printed on the PC board and corresponding instructions for the access panel. A simple chart replaced a graph that had required mathematical interpretation to determine when the multimeter readings were correct. Maximizing the use of graphics reduced the need for excessive text and the risk of confusion.
